US hip-hop crew Jabbawockeez are riding high — literally — following news Jupiters Hotel & Casino has extended the debut Australian season of their stage show MÜS.I.C.

The dance stars say they are looking forward to spending more time on the Coast and hitting the beach as the weather warms up now that MÜS.I.C will play the Broadbeach venue until November 1.

“We have had an incredibly welcoming experience on the Gold Coast,” Jabbawockeez “president” Fred Nguyen says.

Since landing on the Coast in April, the troupe — who wear signature, expressionless white masks and gloves — have busted a few moves for the Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland Cowboys and performed a surprise show for more than 800 local school students.

They hope to add skydiving in Byron Bay, whale watching, surf lessons and visits to our theme parks to that list between now and the end of the year.

A 90-minute show directed by Emmy-nominated US So You Think You Can Dance choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon, MÜS.I.C. fuses drama, comedy, dance and mime with original music and re-worked hits from Michael Jackson, James Brown, Queen and Black Eyed Peas.

Jabbawockeez have now performed more than 100 shows in Australia.

SOME teenagers organise a sleepover for their 14th birthday.

Others might go to the cinema.

But when you’re arguably Australia’s most famous teenaged girl, you can book a world-renowned group of dancers and invite everyone to your party.

That’s exactly what Bindi Irwin plans to do later this month when American dance troupe Jabbawockeez takes to the stage of Australia Zoo’s Crocoseum.

If Bindi is excited by the idea of playing host to the dancers, Jabbawockeez member Phi Nguyen said the feeling was mutual.

“When we heard we were visiting the home of the legendary Steve Irwin we were really excited, so to be performing for Bindi and her fans as well is a real thrill for us,” he said.

“We have danced on different stages around the world, but the Crocoseum will be something completely different and we can’t wait to check it out.”

Jabbawockeez will be the feature act on the day with thousands set to pack the grandstands of the iconic Crocoseum for an exclusive sneak peek of what MÜS.I.C has to offer.

Australia Zoo will roll out the pink carpet for Bindi’s boot camp-themed birthday extravaganza on July 24, with children receiving free entry.

The Jabbawockeez will become the first dance crew and Las Vegas headliner stars in Hip Hop International’s 11-year history to receive the Living Legend of Hip Hop Award. The Monte Carlo headliners, who will be moving to a new Luxor theater next year, received the news this afternoon, and the award will be presented to them at the World Championship Finals of the USA and World Hip Hop Dance Championships on Aug. 5 at Orleans Arena.

HHI President Howard Schwartz said: “Jabbawockeez’s unmatched mystique and captivating performance style launched the group from street credible to world famous through live performances and high-profile media attention. In the process, they have inspired many of their fellow street dancers to pursue careers and reach for their dreams in dance.”

More than 6,000 fans, including 2,500 of the world’s best dance crews, b-boys, poppers, lockers and all-stylers from 40 nations, will witness the Jabbawockeez presentation at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship Finals.

News of the Jabbawockeez award leaked out this afternoon when former Mayor Oscar Goodman was at Fremont Street Experience as Elektrolytes, the newly crowned winners of “ABDC,” performed in a showcase to announce the World Championships. Also at the preview was Prodigy, our Las Vegas dance crew that counts hometown hero Andre Agassi and wife Steffi Graff as big fans. They are competing again at the world championships.

Congratulations to the Jabbawockeez! That’s amazing news.
